Who can be listed on the Hub
Local trades, listed only if licensed and insured. This page says what that means in practice, what happens before a listing goes live, and how to get one fixed or taken down.
Licensed and insured, in practice
Every business on the Hub is its own business, with its own ABN, its own licence for its trade where that trade needs one, and its own insurance. The Hub does not license anyone and does not insure anyone. Being listed does not change how a business runs anything.
We check you are who you say you are. Before a listing goes live we check the licence, ABN and insurance details the business gives us. Being on this site has to mean something, or it means nothing.
The details are the owner's. When a business applies, the owner confirms the details they give are accurate.
Review and consent, before anything goes live
Nothing goes live automatically. A listing is a draft until a person reviews it and speaks to the business.
Consent first. No business is ever listed without its owner's consent. The application form will not send without it.
No fee. Being listed is free. If that ever changes, listed businesses will be told before it does, not after.
What the words on each trade mean
Listed. A local business has a live page on the Hub, reviewed and published with its owner's consent.
Spoken for. The trade is set aside for a business that is not live on the Hub yet.
Looking for a local. Nobody is listed for this trade yet. If you do this work, you can apply.
Getting a listing corrected or removed
A business's page and details stay its own. Ask for them to be removed at any time and they will be. Tell us something on a listing is wrong or out of date and we will correct it. The same goes for anyone who finds their own personal information on the site. See how we handle your information.
